At The Villa Outpatient Services, we offer our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), allowing people in all stages of recovery—whether sober for one month or several years—to engage in therapy and healing on a schedule that accommodates work and family commitments.
Our philosophy includes an open-door policy to allow all to feel welcome and supported in a safe space. We are proud to offer programs that accommodate clients from all walks of life in every stage of recovery.
When you join us in the Villa Outpatient Services, we work with you to determine the best combination of therapies for your ideal state of recovery. The core of your treatment will be group therapy, a small and intimate setting where you can safely build a community. You will also be paired with a personal therapist for weekly meetings, as well as an addiction counselor case manager, to help you progress with treatment on your own terms.
Intensive Outpatient Program
IOP focuses on allowing you to remain attached and present in your life outside of recovery while building on your sobriety. You will learn about the different aspects of your addiction including elements of post-acute withdrawal syndrome, relapse prevention skills, managing cravings, the brain chemistry behind addiction, the twelve steps, co-occurring disorders and much more. Family education is also available for the support of your loved ones.
Our IOP was developed for people suffering from drug or alcohol addiction, those experiencing co-occurring disorders for whom the therapeutic process will be beneficial, and generally people seeking additional support and guidance in their recovery while maintaining an active role in their work, family, and community life.
If you are in the throes of addiction and are in need of medically-assisted detoxification, it is important that you are treated in an inpatient environment and remove yourself from your everyday surroundings. Once we have determined together that IOP is the right step on your path to recovery, you can begin treatment immediately with our incredible staff and warm community.
We take pride in our interdisciplinary approach in crafting beautiful, functional and engaging work that delights and delivers results.

The Four Phases of IOP Treatment
Phase 1: Beginning
Our clients work with counselors to identify substance abuse problems and provide assessments for physical, psychological and social functioning.
Phase 2: Early Recovery
Clients experience educational activities, group therapy and behavior change programs to help them strengthen their recovery, overcome lapses and create a substance-free lifestyle. Treatment is focused on individual, one-on-one counseling and group therapy.
Phase 3: Maintenance
Upon completing the first two phases, clients “step down” into an outpatient treatment program which demonstrates a commitment to change and stability. The goals of the maintenance stage include:
• Solidify abstinence
• Practice relapse prevention skills
• Improve emotional functioning
• Broaden sober social network
• Address other problem areas
Phase 4: Discharge and continuing care
Our clinical team creates a personalized discharge plan to help clients continue their recovery in their own community.
Our goal is to help as many people as possible overcome their addiction and learn how to manage their disease. As a team, as a family, we will work together to give you the treatment you need and the support you deserve.
